BoardLinkStL was created in 2005 by an alliance of nonprofit service providers representing the talents and academic resources of the St. Louis region. Together the Alliance Members serve a need in the community by making BoardLinkStL possible through their support and governance.

 
United Way of Greater St. Louis

United Way of Greater St. Louis unites people of diverse backgrounds and interests who work together to strengthen health and human services in Missouri and Illinois. The United Way efficiently raises and allocates funds to support a strong network of quality agencies and services; provides information, management and technical resources; identifies critical issues and unmet needs and builds collaborations with the public and private sectors to meet those needs. The United Way Volunteer Center supports the organization's mission to strengthen the community by promoting and increasing effective volunteer experiences throughout the St. Louis region.The United Way of Greater St. Louis Volunteer Center has met nationally-recognized standards as set forth by the Points of Light Foundation and the Hands-On Network. United Way is the host agency for BoardLinkStL.

FOCUS St. Louis is a regional, nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization governed by a 30-member volunteer board of directors. It has a membership of more than 1,100 members from all 12 counties of the St. Louis region. The mission of the organization is to create a thriving, cooperative region by engaging citizens to participate in active leadership roles and to influence positive community change. FOCUS was created in 1996 through the merger of Confluence St. Louis and The Leadership Center of Greater St. Louis. Together, these organizations represent more than 30 years of experience in developing leaders and tackling a broad spectrum of community policy issues. The merger created an organization, unlike any other at the local or national level, that delivers a critical continuum of programs and initiatives.
   
 wustl Washington University strengthens the nonprofit sector through education and service.  The University’s Nonprofit Management Program grants Master’s Degrees and Professional Certificates designed to prepare students to lead and administer nonprofit organizations, and responds to the sector’s need for continuing education.   Organizations receive direct assistance from the Alliance for Building Capacity, the Taylor Community Consulting Project, the Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, the Gephardt Institute for Public Service, and a variety of internships and student projects.
   
Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program (NPM&L)
Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program (NPM&L) offers comprehensive education and training for students and individuals pursuing careers in the nonprofit sector, for professional staff, board members and other leaders of nonprofit and voluntary organizations and for public sector professionals. The Nonprofit Management & Leadership Program offers a graduate and undergraduate academic program, which is the only such program in the metro region approved by the national council of academic programs in nonprofit studies. It also offers applied research, professional training, consulting, and assessment services for individual managers and leaders, as well as nonprofit organizations. NPM&L has received major national grant funding, been cited in the Nonprofit Times and other publications and received national and international awards.

The mission of the Regional Arts Commission (RAC) is to promote, encourage, and foster the arts in the St. Louis region. RAC is the pivotal force in the continuing development and marketing of the arts in the St. Louis region. In addition to its grants program, RAC sponsors the Arts Commandos, the Community Arts in Training Institute (CAT), seminar programs, a resource library, and special projects to increase visibility, build audiences for the arts, and employ artists.

St. Louis Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (VLAA) provides free legal and accounting assistance to income-eligible individual artists and emerging arts organizations. VLAA also provides information about arts law and business matters through educational programming, operates a mediation service and supports the broader role of the arts in the community.
 
Nonprofit Services Alliance
The mission of the Nonprofit Services Consortium , a broad coalition of higher education institutions, service providers and grant makers, is to strengthen leadership of the nonprofit sector and build communities through collaborative vision and action.
   
The St. Louis Public Library The St. Louis Public Library's mission is to provide the finest learning resources and information services available to support and improve the lives of individuals, families, and the community.One way important way that the Library fulfills this mission is through its Grants & Foundation Center, a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection, which provides regional nonprofit leaders, their staffs, board members, volunteers, students, and others interested in the nonprofit world with a treasure trove of vital philanthropic and nonprofit resources, services, and programming. The St. Louis Public Library is proud to serve the nonprofit community.
   
  The mission of the St. Charles City-County Library District is to serve as the information utility that provides excellent and economical library services to the residents and taxpayers of St. Charles County.  The District emphasizes Community Referral, Consumer Information, Lifelong Learning, Information Literacy, Business and Public Management Services, Consumer Healthy and Government Information, Local History and generalized Geneology support, Not-For-Profit Services, Current Topics and Titles, General Information and Children's Services. One important way that the Library fulfills this mission is through its Grant & Foundation Center, a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection which provides regional nonprofit leaders vital philanthropic and nonprofit resources, services, and programming.


   
  The Incarnate Word Foundation, sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word of San Antonio, is dedicated to working with others to address issues that affect those living in poverty.  With a focus on the St. Louis metropolitan area, the Foundation not only provides grant funding, but also acts as a convener and a collaborator.  Currently, the Foundation is especially committed to working in North St. Louis, and is also involved in special projects relating to micro-lending, economic empowerment and is a primary supporter of the St. Louis City Catholic Schools Collaborative.
